FAYE ABIGAIL T CRUZ PhD
Head, Regional Climate Systems Laboratory

Dr. Faye Abigail Cruz is head of the Regional Climate Systems Lab of the Manila Observatory. She obtained her PhD in Climate Science at the University of New South Wales, and her MSc and BSc in Physics from Ateneo de Manila University. She was also an International Research Fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science. She is actively involved in atmospheric and climate research in the Philippines and in Southeast Asia, and is a core member of the Southeast Asia Regional Climate Downscaling/Coordinated Regional Climate Downscaling Experiment Southeast Asia project, which aims to provide finer resolution climate change information for the region. She was a Lead Author in the IPCC AR6 Climate Change 2021: The Physical Science Basis, and a contributing author to the 2016 Philippine Climate Change Assessment: The Physical Science Basis, and the Philippine Climate Extremes Report 2020.
